NFH Call to Action!

Wildfire Disaster Funding

The time has come to stop the practice of "fire-borrowing." We’re asking that each of you please call your United States Representative and Senators to ask for their support of current legislation called the Wildfire Disaster Funding Act.

Read more here about this bill and call to action. We appreciate your voices on this national legislation.

Salt Lake City - NFH Fall Forum
October 14, 2017

Our keynote speaker for the NFH Fall Forum is
Paul Rogers of the Western Aspen Alliance.  Learn about the iconic aspen tree, the health of aspens in our national forests and more.

Come to this worthwhile cabin event, visit with other cabins owners, hear great speakers, get to know USFS staff, find answers to your questions, and while you're in town - enjoy some city dining.

Looking for Cabin Leaders
NFH Nominations

The NFH Nominating Committee needs your help to identify qualified candidates for national leadership positions. The 2018 election will fill the positions of President, Treasurer, 4 Directors and 5 members of the 2019 Nominating Committee.

If you are or have been a leader in local, regional or state cabin organizations then you have the necessary knowledge of the cabin program and current cabin issues to step into a leadership position at the national level.  We are looking for candidates from all areas of the country, including outside the Western States. If interested, please complete an NFH Candidate Interest statement.

To find out more about what these positions entail, contact Roy Glauthier, NFH Chair of the 2018 Nominating Committee at before September 30, 2017.

Farewell, Sharon Karr

Sharon Karr, Membership Administrator,
has decided to leave NFH after many years of dedicated service to our organization. She has served on her local Diamond Lake Tract, Oregon Forest Homeowners, NFH Treasurer, and, over the past 2 ½ years, managed our membership database and dues collection while providing critical support for multiple NFH committees.

Her valuable insights and knowledge about the inner workings of the cabin program have helped many NFH members and cabin owners across the country. While it's safe to say that NFH won't be the same without her full-time efforts, we hope that she'll continue to participate in NFH activities during her retirement years.

The Board of Directors and Executive Director
Sharon Leach offer sincere thanks for her many years of work with NFH and wish her all the best in retirement. We hope this change will allow her more time to enjoy her cabin at Diamond Lake, Oregon.

Jay Tripathi, NFH President
