ABOUT THOSE NEW PERMITS: URGENT NOTICE
Recent actions of the Forest Service have resulted in two kinds of permits being offered effective 2009. One is a 20 year permit and the other an interim permit of shorter duration. Many members have contacted NFH suggesting that they wish to appeal provisions of the permit and, in those instances where a shorter term permit is offered, the issuance of a shorter term permit instead of a 20 year permit. Therefore, we have posted on the NFH website a generic appeal form for reference and use. This form can be conformed to your particular situation. Please be aware that there is a 45 day period in which to submit an appeal.
