NFH Fall Forum in Tucson
Saturday - October 13, 2018

Doug Gann, NFH President with Fall Forum Attendees

It was lovely to meet everyone at our regional event! We made new friends in nearby cabin tracts, as well. To see presentations and photos from the NFH Fall Forum in Tucson, click HERE

We had a great group with some interesting discussions around preparing for wildfire and other emergencies, as well as how to transition your permit and cabin to the next generation.

Watch for our national conference this spring, in San Diego, California with permit holders and USFS staff from local, regional and national levels.

Want to Get Involved in
Your Forest Plan Revisions?

From 2012, all National Forests were in the process of revising their Land Management Plans. Your forest may have completed the process, or may be taking comments as they get ready for finish up.

Read more about how you and/or your tract association might get involved in Forest Plans, how to advocate for the recreation residence program, and even see sample letters HERE.

To search for your Forest's plan, in your browser, use these keywords: forest, management, plan, revision, public comment, and draft plan

About NFH Member Dues

All of us, staff, directors and volunteers at NFH, work hard to keep costs down, improve our non-dues revenue and develop our services to you, while continually advocating for all recreation residence permit holders in the nation.

We provide two yearly educational events, 3 seasonal newsletters, maintain a government affairs consulting team, as well as developing relationships with the USFS to resolve problems.

We appreciate your consistent support for our mission. Call Executive Director, Sharon Leach at 800.669.9971 anytime with suggestions or concerns.
