Jen,

I'm sorry to hear of the loss of your cabin. I don't know of any local contractors in your area, but assume you have searched for contractors in the North Bend/Snoqualmie Pass areas. I don't know if you have a design that you have shared with potential contractors, but many home builders may not appreciate the simplicity of a recreation use cabin. My guess is you will have better luck with a smaller independent contractor. Another option could be a cabin kit available from a number of suppliers. I've seen 400-500 sq. ft. cabin kits available for $30-40K (unassembled). Not sure of the cost to have installed, but total cost should be less than $100K. Even if you don't purchase a kit, the designs/layouts may generate some good ideas for a simple cabin design. Hopefully other members can offer suggestions for a contractor in your area.

Doug Gann
NFH President
dgann7@gmail.com

Jen, sorry to hear about your cabin. Have you looked into a Pan Abode cabin kit? They are located in Washington and offer a variety of sizes. I have a Pan Abode cabin in Wyoming which is 51 years old this year so I can attest to their longevity. Perhaps they have contractors they can suggest to you. ~Karen
