<description><![CDATA[<p>As a tract organization, are we liable if we create a resources list for cabin owners and then something goes wrong with the folks they are using for services?&nbsp; Would a disclaimer such as:&nbsp; "MLIA provides MLIA Resource Directory listings as a service to our members to connect trades people and vendors to cabin owners in need of specific jobs or services.&nbsp; They are assimilated from positive experience referrals by existing cabin owners.&nbsp; MLIA is not affiliated with, nor has financial interest in those referenced therein.&nbsp; Further, MLIA assumes no liability of any kind for the use of this listing.&nbsp; MLIA reserves the right to remove any listing at its discretion", serve to release us of liability?</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Open to suggestions</p><p>Bunny Krall</p><p>Director Mount Laguna Improvement Association ( MLIA)</p><p>Cleveland National Forest</p>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[This is a great idea.  I often wonder the same thing about listing services and contractors.  How do you vet your listers?  Maybe the other thing to do is to create a Release from Liability that all listers sign to ensure you are not held in any way responsible for their contacts, deliverables or even their negative experiences with clients. I think you need to be released on both sides, and posting a statement would be one part of that, but might not be enough.<br /><br />You might encourage listers to includes their credentials and references in the listing.
