The first floor also has a full walk-in pantry and two full baths, one with a shower and the other with tub and shower.  Outside the cabin, there is a deck facing the lake and another large free-standing deck in back of the cabin for events and parties.  Separate from the house is a tool shed that once served as an outhouse back in the 40's.  Since then, the H.O.A. has provided a water system and the cabin has its own septic tank and indoor plumbing.  The lights are propane and there is no electricity, but the cabin comes with a portable electric generator. Volcano Telephone Co. provides phone and internet service.  The cabin has a metal roof in excellent condition.  The cabin is red in color and has new paint.  The cabin is accessed by Kit Carson Road in the summer, which goes by the Kit Carson Lodge, just off Hwy 88, and is walk or ski-in accessible in the winter, about 20 minutes across the lake.  Silver Lake is magnificent, bordered by pines and granite, a dead ringer for Yosemite.  All and all, a spectacular natural setting, with peace and quiet at hand and beauty all around.  Price $875,000  ruddrlaw@gmail.com   760-914-1716  Paul]]> Mon, 5 Aug 2024 20:49:45 GMT
