I'm a new member as of today and looking forward to learning from this group!

I have a cabin in the Inyo National Forrest (next to Tom's Place) that is in need of some improvements to make it useable. I'm hoping you can help me get in touch with my Special Use Administrator that handles permits and inspections. 

The cabin needs a new roof, replacement of the exterior siding,exterior deck repairs, interior finishes and Id like to add a small shed.

Keeping track of contact information for Forest Service personnel has been a challenge for years. It is now even more difficult. I would start with the District directory on the Inyo NF website.

Do you know which District you are in? If not, NFH staff may be able to determine that from your tract name on your membership record. I recommend you use the Contact Form on the NFH website, if you don't know your District or if you get no response from their number. 

This Ask the Community Online Forum is cabin owners helping cabin owners. There are only 2 and 1/3 NFH staff, but some things do need to go to them instead of us volunteers.

I really appreciate the information!
I'll reach out via the link you sent, do you have experience with the permit process? AS in, how long to they typically take to approve plans/improvements? Hopefully I get a quick response from their office as I need to get repairs started in hopes to finish before this coming winter.
